Micro Module Cable
Test Purpose: To evaluate the performance of two polymers on the market.
Sample: ATP polymer compound manufacturer Vs D Company.
Specifications: Outer diameter 1.3-1.4mm, skin thickness 0.13mm, containing 12 optical fiber, oil-filled paste.
Test Items & Methods:
a. Thermo Shrining
Randomly cut four segments of a sample with a length of 1000mm from different positions of the product cable, put the sample into a 100℃ oven for 30min, then take the sample and place it on a horizontal table, test the length of the sample to calculate the shrinkage rate after the sample returns to room temperature;
b. Filling Gel Compatibility
10 segments of samples with a length of 200mm were randomly cut from different positions of the product cable, and the samples were placed in the oven at 70℃ for standing. After 10 days, the samples were taken out and placed on the horizontal table for standing for more than 12 hours for testing.
c. High-temperature resistance
10 segments of samples with a length of 200mm were randomly cut from different positions of the product tpu cable jacket, and the samples were put into an oven at 80℃ for standing. After 42 days, the samples were taken out and placed on a horizontal table for standing for more than 12 hours for testing.
d. Chemical resistance:
10 segments of samples with a length of 200mm were randomly cut from different positions in the product cable and put into the solvent (paraffin oil, 90% ethanol and isoendol ) for 1 hour. Then, they were taken out and left standing at room temperature for 24 hours.
